Next time you see a white box sitting in a Wal-Mart, you may want to look a little closer.
Kids Yule Love has kicked off its annual campaign to help bring a smile to needy childrens faces this holiday season, and the organization needs your help.
Organization founder Joe Allen says, "We want to make sure no child wakes up Christmas morning, or no Senior Citizen has no family members wake up Christmas morning, without a present."
The mission of Kids Yule Love is to provide presents and a message of hope to less fortunate children in Middle Georgia. Joe Allen founded the project, after meeting a boy named Jody Cotton.
"His family had nothing. We asked Jody, what do you want for Christmas? He said, Sir the only thing we want is food, we're luck to have food. I said, I promise you son, you'll have a Christmas," added Allen.
You can drop off your donations at any Wal-Mart in the Middle Georgia area. At the Gray Highway Wal-Mart in Macon, those involved with the organization say the couldn't be happier to be helping out a good cause.
Gray Highway Wal-Mart Assistant Manager Robert Hatten says, "It's always good for organizations like us to be involved in the community. So they understand it's not just about money all the time. It's about giving back to our surrounding areas and helping eachother out."
Allen says he hopes the economy won't be a burden to Kids Yule Love this year, and believes the community will help pull through.
